  1. An almost matured product Submitted by Dawn Hanna on March 06, 2012 – 06:13PM

Our College started using Sitefinity when it was still pretty young.  Most of our sites are started running version 3.7.  Since their pricing model changed last year Sitefinity has greatly matured.  We have sites running 3.7, 4.3, and 4.4, and are eagerly awaiting upgrading all of them to version 5.0.

We have dozens of content editors with varied degree of tech skills and most find this CMS easy to use.  If you tried anything before version 4, it's worth looking again.  The product changes are significant when it comes to content management.

User management is pretty straight forward.  Custom module/widget creation is becoming easier.  I'm looking forward to v5.0's mobile support.  I feel there are still some areas where enhancements can be made with the built-in modules, but with each new subversion my list gets shorter.

The support Telerik offers is great - community forums with Telerik professionals, full documentation for installation, management, development and end users, and quick turn around with phone/email support.  They have even taken a proactive approached and asked for a teleconference with us to find out what we need from them.  After an hour+ conversation we finished feeling listened to and came away with some useful information.

Performance on the back end is the only complaint I have, but I believe it's on their roadmap.
